Nepalese Canadian Cricket Championship (NCCC), formulated in 2022 by passionate cricket enthusiasts residing in Western Canada, has rapidly grown into a celebrated event, uniting the community through their shared love for the sport. The inaugural tournament, successfully organized by the Edmonton Nepalese Cricket Club (ENCC), set a high standard for future events. Building on this momentum, the Himalayan Cricket Club (HCC) of Greater Vancouver expertly hosted the second edition, further solidifying the championship's reputation as a premier cricket event for Nepalese Canadians.
The third edition of the NCCC is set for 2024, with six teams competing for the title. Hosted by the NECOS (Saskatoon Rhinos), the tournament promises thrilling matches as the Calgary Thunder Strikers aim for a hat trick of wins, while the two-time runner-up ENCC seeks redemption. Meanwhile, the HCC and the Saskatoon Rhinos are determined to alter the outcome to be the finalist, and underdogs the Vancouver Nepalese Cricket Club (VNCC) and Prairie Yetis are ready to upset the competition and shatter expectations.
