At NepSoSS, we are committed to ensuring that personal information are protected and kept in strict confidence. NepSoSS is dedicated to ensuring the privacy of its members, executives and volunteers as per the principles established in federal and provincial privacy legislation. NepSoSS does not release personal information to any individual, business or organization without authorization except as required or permitted by law. Basic Information may be released to projects managed or facilitated by NepSoSS such as sports practice sessions or WCRNSCE.
Collection of Personal Information
NepSoSS collects basic personal information for related organization use only, using fair and lawful means for example; event invitations, electronic newsletters, emails or customized promotion etc either by express or implied consent. NepSoSS does not collect information which is not required by organization to perform its duties such as Social Insurance Number, Private Health Information and Financial details.
Safeguarding and Disposal of Personal Information
NepSoSS makes every effort to prevent any misuse or disclosure of personal information, as well as any unauthorized access to personal information, both written and digital. NepSoSS uses security measures when storing, transferring or destroying personal information in paper and electronic formats. NepSoSS may for its organizational purpose publish your full name in our website or social media such as event signup form.
Photographs/Images/Videos
  • NepSoSS reserves the right to capture and use any photograph/image/video taken at any NepSoSS hosted evetns, without the expressed written permission of those included within the photograph/image/video. NepSoSS may publish the photograph/image/video in nepsoss website publications or official social media accounts such as facebook.
  • To ensure the privacy of individuals and children, images will not be identified using full names or personal identifying information without written approval from the photographed subject, parent or legal guardian.
  • A person attending event who does not wish to have their image recorded for distribution should make their wishes known to the NepSoSS Executive committee.
Membership Status and Name
By agreeing to this statement, you are giving NepSoSS permission to publish your membership information in nepsoss.ca. NepSoSS will not publish member’s email address and contact information.
