You may be one of the numerous people who have received similar pop-up alerts. They commonly appear after you open an email attachment, download files, visit websites programmed to download malicious software or click on a pop-up advertisement. Scammers often use the names of well-known companies that specialise in computer software to gain your trust. The pop-up advertisements aim to mimic genuine warning alerts generated by computer security software.

NepSoSS regularly publishes informational articles to help our members on how to avoid being a victim of scam.

In the recent days, there in an upsurge in telephone or electronic scams where the caller claims to be from the government agencies such as CRA, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), Sasktel Refund or even friend of your family members. The caller pretends to be a friend, police officer, immigration or tax officer and tells you that you broke the law or owe tax or received a refund or some pleading story about your family members. They may speak in Nepali, English or any language the victim understands.

In coordination with Canadian Blood Services, Regina, NepSoSS is organizing blood donation program on Saturday, July 28th, 2018 at 10:30 am onwards at Canadian Blood Services (2571 Broad St, Regina, SK S4P 4H6)NepSoSS requests all of you to participate in this noble event. 

In the past years, it has been a tradition to organize annual friendly sports event between Nepali community in Regina and Saskatoon. This year NepSoSS is inviting Nepalese Society of Saskatoon (NECOS) in Regina for Friendly Sports Event 2018 on Saturday June 9th, 2018 at  at Glencairn Recreation Centre, 2626 Dewdney Avenue East, Regina and W.S. Hawrylak School, 2530 Assiniboine Ave E, Regina, SK S4V 2R6.

Badminton and Volleyball will be held at W.S. Hawrylak School, Soccer will be held at Glencairn Recreation Centre Field.
